Director

Laura has had a successful financial services career spanning more than 30 years. With a Building Society Management and advisory background, Laura is passionate about building long term client relationships. Laura’s advice covers all areas of wealth management including Retirement Planning, Wealth Protection, Inheritance Tax Planning, Corporate Planning & Investment Planning.

Leading a busy and professional team, Laura has built a significant client portfolio through high levels of service, integrity and transparency.

Laura enjoys walking her dog George and loves her family life. Laura also loves her summer & skiing holidays.

Stephanie Lane, Personal Assistant & Client Relationship Manager

Steph is Laura’s personal assistant and makes sure the business runs smoothly. Steph originally worked as a PA in an accountancy firm and moved to LH Financial Planning in 2019. Steph is professional, organised and a highly valued member of the team.

Steph loves to spend time with family, meet up with friends and visit new places especially anywhere near the sea.



Niamh McGee BA (Hons), DipPFS,
Financial Consultant

Niamh joined LH Financial Planning in 2015 and has supported Laura in providing a high-quality level of advice and service to her clients. Niamh is a fully qualified Financial Planner and offers advice to new and existing clients. She is passionate about helping people understand the benefits of effective financial planning and loves meeting new clients.

Niamh currently spends her spare time studying towards becoming a Chartered Financial Planner but also enjoys meals out with friends and holidays in the sun.

James Hughes,
Head of Private Clients

James joined LH Financial planning in 2013 after leaving Trent College giving him a very in depth understanding of the industry and the clients need for financial planning. He is primarily based in the London area.

James’ role is to engage with private clients to explain the benefits of having financial advice in areas such as pension planning, investment planning, mortgages, life cover, IHT planning & corporate advice.

He loves his music and flying having recently gained his Private Pilots Licence.



Franklin DeGiovanni,
Paraplanner

Franklin joined the industry in 2016 following completion of his A-levels.

He started as an administrator, before embarking on the St James’s Place Paraplanning academy. Franklin joined the team in 2020 from another St. James’s Place Practice. He works closely with financial advisers, helping them provide the high quality advice that is given.

His ambition is to start giving financial advice, and is enhancing his skills, completing the final unit on his Diploma. He will then look to attain Chartered status.

Franklin enjoys reading and cycling outside off work.



Rebecca Hughes,
Paraplanner & Marketing Executive

Rebecca has worked within LH Financial planning since she was 18 in marketing and administration roles. She is now moving into a Paraplanning role but is still providing support to LH Financial Planning with marketing. Rebecca did her GCSE/A Levels at Trent College, then moved to Nottingham College (Graphic Design) & onto Nottingham Trent University - Graphic design BA (Hons).

Rebecca is underway on her studying for her financial diploma and is currently undertaking her RO exams 1 to 6 through the St. James's Place Paraplanning academy.

Rebecca is an animal and food lover who enjoys socialising.



Neil Marlow,
Paraplanner

Neil has been involved in Financial Services for over three decades and gained a vast experience of all aspects of the industry as a consultant and business owner.

Neil has the CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and achieved the 350 credits for Fellowship status. He can cover all aspects of financial planning but his areas of expertise are helping to review existing pension provisions and IHT planning.

He is a season ticket holder at Leicester City and a keen motor cyclist.



Roy Oxley MBA, FCMA,
Administrator

Roy joined LH Financial Planning in 2019, after having successful careers in accountancy and project management in both the public and the private sector. Roy is a ‘Chartered’ Management Accountant and has an MBA in Management Consultancy.

Before joining LH Financial Planning he worked at Rolls-Royce in teaching/training higher apprentices in Business & Project Management.

His role is to input confidential client data into the financial services systems using information from the Financial Advisors. Roy is a team player, pleasant and a highly valued member of the team offering extensive business advice when required.

Roy loves to spend time with his wife and their two dogs, his passion is listening to live music and being fortunate to have attended the concert of a generation, the original Live Aid at Wembley.
